Kenneth Brown
Kenny has spent years building a reputation for quality craftsmanship, reliability, and attention to detail throughout Calgary and the surrounding area. Working independently through Hickory Toolbox, he earned an incredible 159 five-star reviews through hard work, consistency, and a commitment to treating every home like his own.
Now, Kenny is teaming up with his longtime best friend Dave — who also brings a strong five-star reputation and years of hands-on experience — to launch Hickory Renovations, a sister company to Hickory Toolbox focused on larger-scale renovations and transformations.
While Kenny is highly skilled across many trades, renovations are where his craftsmanship truly shines. From custom carpentry and interior finishing to kitchens, bathrooms, basements, flooring, tile, and exterior transformations, Hickory Renovations was built to bring premium-quality work, integrity, and trusted craftsmanship together under one brand.
David Irons
Dave brings years of leadership, operational, and hands-on industry experience to Hickory Renovations. He owned and operated Ironside Automotive Detailing for 6 years, growing it into the largest detailing shop in Foothills Alberta while maintaining over 100 five-star reviews through a strong focus on quality, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
Before launching Hickory Renovations, Dave spent 10 years at one of the largest trailer dealerships in North America, where he worked his way from Head of Sales to General Manager, specializing in team leadership, operations, sales performance, and customer experience across multiple departments and large-scale daily business operations.
With a background in construction — specifically concrete, framing, flooring, and painting — Dave combines practical field knowledge with extensive experience in leadership, sales, and customer satisfaction, helping ensure every project is completed with professionalism, efficiency, and care.
